Love Thy Neighbour: DD Dumbo

DD Dumbo, aka Oliver Hugh Perry, is definitely one to watch. The Castlemaine-native, who creates beautiful experimental blues using loop-pedals, a stripped back drum kit and 12-string guitar, has already caught the attention of 4AD. He signed up to the British label in June, apparently after being spotted playing his dusty rhythms at SXSW earlier this year.

Perry put out a self-titled EP late in 2013, and is now working on a full-length release. It looks set to be a busy time for the solo artist as he as also been billed to support Courtney Barnett on her upcoming Australian tour (which takes place after her September trip to these shores).
