Listen: Mastodon and Gibby Haynes (Butthole Surfers) - Atlanta

Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes has hooked up with sludge-rock outfit Mastodon for their contribution to the Adult Swim Singles programme. Titled 'Atlanta', in an apparent homage to Mastodon's hometown, the track combines the ferocity of the group's sound with the hilarity of Haynes, and you can download it for free over here, from tomorrow. The Adult Swim programme aims to put out 16 new tracks in 16 weeks from a variety of artists, which so far have included Sleep and Deafheaven. Take a listen to the latest below....
Meanwhile, Butthole Surfers' guitarist Paul Leary and bassist J.D Pinkus have teamed up with the Melvins to record the outfit's 23rd studio album, Hold It In. So stay tuned for more on that front.
