Stream Perfume Genius' New Album 'Too Bright'

Seattle-based musician Mike Hadreas, who is perhaps better known by the moniker Perfume Genius, is sharing his provocative new album Too Bright ahead of its New Zealand release on Friday. Hadreas has remarked that this record, which is the singer-songwriter's third full-length offering, is a departure from the "gentler" sound of his previous two albums. Fans will already be familiar with the anthemic single 'Queen', which deals with "gay panic" and the power that a person can hold by knowing their mere presence makes others uncomfortable. Hadreas explains that it's a song he would have liked to have heard when he was in high school, and a song he "needed to write now". But the musician didn't rest on his laurels with making that track - the rest of the album is equally powerful and beautifully constructed. Take a listen below...
