Conor Oberst Announces One-Off Show

Indie-folk artist Conor Oberst has lined up a one-off Auckland show with support from New York outfit The Felice Brothers. Oberst, who is well-known for his work in Bright Eyes, is coming to New Zealand off the back of his sixth solo album Upside Down Mountain, which came out in May through Nonesuch Records. It’s been 10 years since Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst performed in New Zealand as support for REM, now he is finally returning to headline an exclusive concert at the Powerstation on March 2nd.

Set to be one of most memorable on stage pairings of 2015, Conor will be supported by acclaimed folk/rock artists The Felice Brothers.

Drawing from his extensive back catalogue including his celebrated latest album “Upside Down Mountain” – this will be a night to appreciate one of musics finest singer/songwriters.

Upside Down Mountain has been hailed by critics as his finest work to date, with NME praising that Oberst is “back to his sincere, melancholy best on his latest album”, and Rolling Stone Magazine calling it “the most immediately charming record he has ever made”.

Now 34, Oberst is already considered one of the great American song writers, with many of his Alternative Folk songs being hailed as veritable masterpieces.
