CJ Ramone Announces New Zealand Show

CJ Ramone, who is probably best known as the bassist for punk rock outfit the Ramones from 1989 to 1996, has announced a one-off New Zealand show for February. CJ will be bringing with him Pete Sosa from Street Dogs to tackle drum duties along with guitarists Dan Root and Steve Soto from Adolescents, and together they will work through songs from CJ's latest album Last Chance to Dance as well as a selection of tracks from the Ramones back catalogue. Get ready to Blitzkrieg Bop cause punk rock icon CJ RAMONE is on the road and playing his first ever New Zealand show at The Kings Arms in Auckland on Saturday 7th February.

Fresh from wowing audiences in Japan, CJ is joined on stage by Pete Sosa from STREET DOGS on drums plus Dan Root & Steve Soto from ADOLESCENTS on guitars.

Expect a selection of songs from the ripping new album ‘Last Chance to Dance’ on Fat Wreck Chords plus all the hits from The Ramones back catalogue in CJ’s hour and a half long set as part of the Waitangi Daze Festival.

Doors open 6pm with a stellar local support line-up to be announced soon.
