Bedroom producer Pikachunes (aka Miles G. Loveless) has unveiled a new track certain to to get grammar geeks swooning just in time for Valentine's Day. Titled 'Writer's Block', Loveless explains the premise behind the incredibly catchy cut, saying he loaded it literary devices to "try and impress a girl who was way out of my league. She held an equal love for the English language and I thought by flexing my lyrical muscles I may win her over, which funnily enough worked".

The Wellington-based musician recorded the track in his room before taking it to Sam McCarthy (Kids of 88, Strange Babes) to flesh out the instrumentals in his studio, and after sitting on the shelf for awhile it got a final polish up from James Goldsmith. The satirical pop single is the first taste from Pikachunes' forthcoming sophomore album Allely, which has been slated for release in New Zealand during the winter months and will simultaneously see release in the United Kingdom, followed by a tour of the UK and Europe in June. Wrap your head around 'Writer's Block' below...

Pikachunes
will be performing Allely in its entirety this Friday 13th February at Meow in Wellington with support from She's So Rad. Head over here for more details and to buy tickets.
