Toni Braxton Announces First Ever New Zealand Show

Following last week's announcement that Madonna is coming to New Zealand for the first time in her expansive career, Toni Braxton has also announced an inaugural visit. The American r 'n' b icon is heading dowunder for a string of September shows, which includes a stop over in Auckland to perform at the Logan Campbell Centre. Braxton, who launched her career in the late 80s, has seven studio albums to her name, the latest of which is 2014's collaborative effort with Babyface entitled Love, Marriage & Divorce. TONI BRAXTON ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER AUSTRALASIAN TOUR

Seven-time Grammy Award winning R&B star TONI BRAXTON announces the date for her first-ever New Zealand show, following her Australian dates this September.

About the upcoming tour, BRAXTON comments, “I know it’s taken a while for me to get to Australia and New Zealand, but I promise it’s going to be well worth the wait! I can’t wait to give all of my wonderful fans a very special and unforgettable night.”

Over the course of her storied career, BRAXTON has earned a total of seven Grammy Awards and sold over 66 million records worldwide. Among other achievements, she’s received nine Billboard Music Awards and seven American Music Awards and been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

She appeared on the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars and helped bring the hit reality show WE tv’s Braxton Family Values to life as both an executive producer and star. Expanding her pop culture imprint, she serves as an executive producer on Tamar & Vince. Transferring her dynamic presence to the stage, she has starred in Broadway productions of Beauty and the Beast, Aida, and After Midnight.

Most recently, her 2014 collaboration with Babyface, Love, Marriage & Divorce, debuted at #4 on Billboard’s Top 200 (her sixth Top Ten entry on the chart) and #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It went on to win a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album.

BRAXTON continues to engage, endear, and enchant audiences worldwide with everything she does.

Opening the show is local smooth-singing soul/pop/R’nB’ artist MARINO MARINER, who is already making waves on local radio with his debut single ‘Stronger’.
