Boaz Anema is bringing his acoustic act to Christchurch on the 23rd of May with support from The Wax Birds, and Deej Cooper.
He has been busy recording his debut solo album, currently titled 'For Folks Sake', and is hitting the Darkroom for a wee teaser of the album. Stripped back with nothing but his guitar and voice, Boaz will take you on a musical journey from songs about the humble Pīwakwaka to relationships on the brink of collapse. He will even throw in the songs that are still at the 'work in progress' stage, as he feels out their final destination.
Supporting Boaz is Deej Cooper, a fellow with Mellow folk songs accompanied by a rich arrangement.
The Wax Birds are also joining in the evening, they are a harmonious acoustic duo born in the Yorkshire valleys and now living and performing across the beautiful South Island of New Zealand.
May 23rd at the Darkroom promises to bring a night full of Folk goodness that you don't want to miss!
