Madcap Music presents:

PHAELEH (UK) & SHIGETO (USA) - TWO NEW ZEALAND SHOWS

This November Phaeleh (Afterglo/UK) and Shigeto (Ghostly International/USA) head to New Zealand to perform two exclusive shows to celebrate Madcap Music’s website launch in the main centers.

Performing at the San Francisco Bath House in Wellington on Wednesday the 13th of November and Cassette Nine in Auckland on Thursday the 14th of November, these two hotly tipped electronic music talents are both on the road promoting spectacular new album releases - Phaelehs Tides and Shigetos No Better Time Than Now.

Hailing from Bristol, Phaeleh (pronounced Fella) creates and DJs cinematic electronica informed by UK Garage/2-Step, House, Dubstep and his background as a classically trained musician. Having solidified his status as a crucial talent with his debut album Fallen Light (2010), on Tides he steps up the emotional intensity of his music, presenting melodically advanced club music rooted in late night urban dread.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Detroits Shigeto is the architect of a jazz, Motown soul and hip-hop rooted sound, which while respectful to the great past traditions of American music, pushes things forward into a space where shades of ambient, intelligent dance music and dubstep mutate the proceedings. On No Better Time Than Now the result is a soundworld befitting his affiliation with the prestigious Ghostly International record label.

Fully formed musical talents, Phaeleh and Shigeto both currently rest at a buoyant level within the global underground. A level they look set to surpass over the coming months. This November, witness them live in two intimate nightclub performances. Evenings like these dont come around too often.
