The peerless Japanese rock and roll triumvirate that is GUITAR WOLF return to New Zealand in December 2013, on the back of the release of their 11th album BEAST VIBRATOR

Seiji (Guitar Wolf) wrote the album after some business on Mt Fuji involving wormholes, Space Battleships and a secret laboratory, and it is nothing less than GUITAR WOLF'S most cohesive statement to date. GUITAR WOLF demand that you stop staring at your mobile phone waiting for something to happen and BE the happening. 'SHAKE YOUR BODY AND HEART WITH THE POWER OF BEAST!', they demand. SEIJI says It was ridiculous when this title came up in my
head. I thought it was a mistake or something. I knew I
had always wanted massive power of magma. Then I noticed
there was someone in my mind. It was Nobunaga. I feel the
power of magma in Nobunaga in the Japanese history. Listen
to the Sengoku (Civil War) rock !
By the way, Mitsuhide Akechi is kumquat.

warlords in the Civil War era in the late 15th century

15th Anniversary of the Stink Magnetic Record Co. set Dec 12 1998 at Pretty On The Inside Record Store in Palmerston North by 18 Year old Tape Wolf. Documenting over 50 released recordings over that time of most Wild, Unique Genre and Coolest UnCool Crud on hand made home dubbed Cassette, Acetate, C-DRSE, Video tape, DVD and Vinyl Records. Currently in the top 5 greatest record labels of all time (N.Z.O.M.B.I).

For first ten years each tape hand dubbed in real time to total over 1200 cassettes. Operation basis in over 5 locations throughout New Zealand and once in Oz. Head Office and venue space in small town NZ for 2 and a half years. Countless National and International touring artists and Label arranged touring. Based in Chch during deadly quakes. Currently continuing mostly non-digital releases where possible. Hence award of Greatest Record Company in the World (STM Soc.).

Artists incl. Shit All to Hell (Teenage Trash Duo), The Dallas Pro-Drag Allstars (Hawaiian Industrial), Cortina (Post-Apolcolytic 80's Electro), Boss Christ (Monsterbilly Wolfman One Man Band and band), Delaney Davidson (Hillbilly Hobo Country Drifter Blues), Golden Axe (Kiwi Kraftwerk Wheelchair Access Electro), The Chandeliers (Guitar-less Surf Trio), I Drink Your Blood (Bossa Nova Space Vampire), Made For Chickens By Robots (Rag-time Blues Animal Percussionist), Mysterious Tape-Man/Wolf etc (Esoteric Surf Trash) and many more.

As well as 4 days of shows we celebrate two brand new releases from I Drink Your Blood and Lightning Tape-Wolf on our trade mark 33rpm juke box 7: 4 track Extended Player 7 Haunted Mansion by I Drink Your Blood (Fri 13 dec - late show) and 7 track Extended Player 7 Lightning Tape Wolf by Lightning Tape Wolf (Sat 14 dec - day show). We also have BBQ's at Death Ray Records, special guests Guitar Wolf from Japan, a powerpoint of Stinks illustrious 15 years so far by Matt Hunt and our first New Zealand One Man Band Inauguration and licensing ceremony.
