Sebadoh fans can look forward to a mix of tracks across their career, from classic albums like Bakesale and Harmacy right through to last year’s acclaimed release Defend Yourself (Domino/EMI) – their first new studio album in some fourteen years. The new album debuted at No. 1 in the US on the New Alternative Artists Billboard chart.

Sebadoh’s return to New Zealand comes 19 years after their last Kiwi tour, which included a Powerstation concert (July 1995) with Garageland and Drill, and Warners in Christchurch with Brother Love.

Sebadoh are now viewed as one of the most important indie bands from 1990s to today, with several of their records viewed as seminal alongside the likes of Pavement, Guided By Voices, and Superchunk.

Formed in 1986 in Westfield, Massachusetts, Sebadoh put their own compelling stamp on low-fi indie rock, highlighted in early releases like 1990s Weed Forestin’ and 1991’s Sebadoh III.
