Tour Information
The Sawmill is stoked to present a rollicking good night
with WAGONS + support from HOPETOUN BROWN
bloody exciting!

Wagons have managed to capture the growling sounds of the American South, despite not living in the United States. Hailing from Melbourne, the group is the brainchild of singer- songwriter and fearless showman Henry Wagons. The band combines rowdy country-rock with a dramatic Nick Cave-inspired delivery, creating their own unique take on country music with a talent for taking the audience on a roller coaster ride from hard hitting rock to tender tributes. Unanimously lauded as one of Australias great live bands, they relentlessly provide a high energy, stage stomping show no matter which venue they take over.

HOPETOUN BROWN
You may recognize Hopetoun Brown as the horn section who continue to light up the stage with local funk juggernaut Supergroove. The fiery pair haven’t stopped honing their love of blues and rhythm, which originally kindled those Supergroove flames in Ponsonby all those years ago. The duo named their new band after the central Auckland streets they used to live on and which they still roam, welded to their horns. The duo have an album set for an October 2015 release recorded in Lyttelton by Ben Edwards and they’ve played relentlessly up and down the nation wowing crowds with their horn-heavy sound.
