Tour Information
There is perhaps no more respected name in independent music circles than Phil Elverum. Since 1996, initially releasing music under The Microphones, and later as Mount Eerie, Elverum’s spare and introspective songwriting has influenced countless musicians across the past two decades. The Anacortes, Washington native has been hugely prolific, releasing over a dozen acclaimed albums and countless singles and collaborations.

However, following the death of his wife and mother of their young daughter (artist and musician Geneviève Castrée), Phil Elverum set about recording the record nobody ever dreams of wanting to make. A painful and brutally honest account of life and grief after the death of someone so close, A Crow Looked At Me was swiftly recognised as one of the most important records of 2017, earning immediate universal acclaim.

Touring in support of the record, Mount Eerie is set to return to New Zealand to play one very special and intimate Auckland show only: Friday January the 19th at the arthouse favourite Academy Cinemas. Limited seated tickets to this rare live appearance are on sale now at www.undertheradar.co.nz. Please note there will be no support act for this show.

“For an album so firmly anchored by death, A Crow Looked At Me is suffused with life” Pitchfork
