Secret Cousins - The Break Up Party

This is it, y'all.

Secret Cousins, Auckland based -NZ/France/Peru meet on the shores of Aotearoa- are going on a -most likely- long break. Part of the band is relocating to Peru mid May. So this is the only chance to catch up their FINAL (sigh) show. With support from friends and whānau Ha The Unclear and Dominic 'Tourettes' Hoey. With extra psychological support from Hey Zeus! this will be a 'breakup' to celebrate.

We'll be also releasing our two singles
'Holy Shit' and 'Hip Kid'

The band channels 60s pop groups through their use of tight, complex vocal arrangements and draw on influences from Folk and Pop to RnB. A tongue-in-cheek (and foot in mouth) pervades both their songs and live performances and they’re preceded by a reputation of not being afraid to shock an audience. Hosting tiny humans and balancing young motherhood has induced and accommodated several lineup shuffles. The most current formation consists of Ira Zema on vocals, guitar and bass, Kate Brown on vocals, Silvio on vocals, synths and guitar, Lucy Oliver on vocals, keys and guitar and Mikel Hoyle on drums.
