Heka, Die Musikband, Lars Von Trio

Three bands representing the cream of Dunedin psychedelic rock and krautrock warm up your winter with a triple-header at The Cook.

Heka have been weaving multi-coloured musical moments since 2009. Tonight's line-up of Stephen Kilroy (Stephen), Heath Te Au (The Puddle, Mink, Cloudboy, Squirm) Tenzin Mullin (Suka) and Craig Monk (Mink, Cloudboy) will psych you out.

Die Musikband are relative newcomers but with an impressive pedigree. There's a real buzz about town for the krautrock-influenced tunes delivered by Jeff Harford (Bored Games, The Rip, My Deviant Daughter, Psychic Maps), John Guy Howell (Alpha Plan, Salon Kingsadore, The Broken Heartbreakers), Karen McLean (Onanon, Death By Silo) and Alex Gilks (Old Tom Frost).

Lars Von Trio brings Heka's Monk and Mullin together with drummer Greg Cairns (The Renderers, The Verlaines, Constant Pain, MarineVille) for a set of mesmerising psychedelic jams.
