Dead Fools Fiesta

About Dead Fools Fiesta from Auckland

From the misty jungle of the Waitakere ranges, The 4 Mexicanos create a sound that only can be described as Outlaw Reggae. With their thumping bass, screaming guitar, whaling keys and thrashing drums they project a sound that thunders down the valleys of Titirangi.

The 4 Mexicanos came together in the summer of 2005, what started as occasional jams slowly turned into weekly practices and from that gigs started sprouting all over the North island. After two short years they have defined their sound and style with help from there skankin west side crew.

There sound is best known for it’s upbeat reggae style, with a dash of rock and a splash of funk, performed by Jude Hassett(Keys and vox), Adam Wilburn(Guitar and vox), Jack Graves(Bass) and Jon Hart(drums). With an array of varied influences ranging from bands such as The Aggrolites to Miles Davis and Sublime the combination creates a sound that gets the girls skanking and the guys cranking.

The 4 Mexicanos plan on constantly gigging for many years to come, whilst compiling recordings, videos and representing Aotearoa on foreign shores , gathering many amigos on the journey.

With a strong following out West, and heads turning with the rest, The 4 Mexicanos ascending reputation shows that this is the space to watch.
