About Abundance from Auckland
Drummer Matt and singer/songwriter Carmel were out at a gig one night complaining about how they wished they were doing music and Matt decided it was about time they actually did something about it. He laid down the challenge to Carmel and they roped in Jamie on guitar and Sam on bass and all of a sudden Abundance was born. Since then they've consistently gigged around Auckland's staples like Kings Arms and Dog's Bollix and more recently Rising Sun, and even found time to record their first EP "This Is My Favourite Song" due for release July/August. Their Indie Pop Rock sounds have a habit of setting feet tapping their way onto the dance floor and everyone seems to end up with a smile on their face.
