Katy Soljak

Katy Soljak is an ALL blues woman! With a powerful and deeply soulful sound she tugs on your heartstrings like only a good woman who's been around the block a few times can.

Katy left New Zealand in the late 80's, after a successful stint with the popular Blues Review; 'Ladies sing the Blues'. She toured the U.S.A. writing and performing with a range of Blues artists. Highlights of the LA experience were playing gigs through the summer of '89, with drummer Steven Hodges (Tom Waits Band) in Long Beach and Paul Barrere (Little Feat) at the Venice Cafe. Events at the Onyx on Vermont were also hilarious and inspiring! Katy now lives on Waiheke Island and performs at Blues festivals throughout the country.
