The Gaze. A name you wont easily forget. And if you catch one of their live shows, you wont forget the band that easily either.

The Gaze are: Aja Timu (Blindspott, Stylus) on guitar and vocals, Michael Triponel (Cold by Winter) on guitar, Jeremy Hollis (aka Jimmy Steel, In Dread Response) on bass and Matt Samuels (Stylus) behind the kit. Having all previously played in formidable bands –each with their own successes and cult followings, the boys create an infectious version of melodic rock laced with metal influences. The boys are proud of their Maori heritage and this shows through in the music also. Live is where they are most dominant, with every show having some sort of improvisation to it so you can be sure of a new experience every time!

The Gaze have just released their eponymous debut EP. Engineered, Produced and Mixed by Nate Sowter (Take the Willing, Kidz in Space, Cobra Khan, Antagonist AD) at Red Dog Studios in Mount Maunganui.
