Mallet Cowbell
About Mallet Cowbell from Auckland
In early 2009 Sesame Street veteran Count Von Count was dismissed following a "seven ate nine" joke gone horribly wrong. Sporting his turned-up collar and monocle, Count Von Count retreated into a self imposed hermitage in the steamy mountain caverns of Nepal, where he encountered a cadaverous astral projection of Leon Trotsky. The two were found to share a mutual appreciation of unexplored sonic terrain, and so descended to sea level to begin their epic quest - the facilitation of timbre, dynamics and texture through a number of devices such as "guitars" and "multiple percussion". The two have since forged their path, with one sole intent - to "Post-rock".
In all seriousness, Mallet Cowbell is a post rock band founded by Carl Redwood and Louis Norton after years of collaboration. Drawing influence from a variety of post rock bands as well as musicians from all over the musical spectrum, we hope to work with anyone who's interested and has an open mind. Watch this space!
