Huia's style is pretty varied as a vocalist - from drum and Bass with Baitercell, urban stuff with Mikey Rockwell, harmonic vibes with Matt Bowden...
Performing at The BIg Day Out, Splore, Rhythm n Vines as well as jam nights around the country, she is finally stepping out with her own tunes!
"I would describe my sound as a little Erica Badu, bit of Sade with a little world influence of maori taonga puoro and ethnic beats'.
With collaborations on her upcoming album with the likes of Kevin Mark trail (UK), Lupin and Pitch Black, its going to be an interesting mix.
"My aim is to make an album so that my friends and family can stop hassling me..ha ha...and also some music for those road trips, quiet nights and time of contemplation "
