brutally frank are an Auckland based rock band, who have been extremely prolific on the live scene over the last two years. With an eclectic style that blends traditional rock flavours with a modern alternative attitude the band offers a tight, energetic and passionate stage show. Jeremy delivers the message with intensity and showmanship, backed by a wall of distorted guitar melodies compliments of Mike and Phil. Scotty and Azza play the hell out of their instruments and provide the pounding rhythm that is the essential trademark of this outstanding rock band.
The bands name reflects the attitude of the songwriting, with content that is generally based on true life experience and definitely pulling no punches!
The group have left no stone unturned on the North Island circuit, having played at just about every available venue, with bands such as Head Like a Hole, Tadpole, Autozamm, The Tea Party (Canada) , Fur Patrol, Stylus and Revolver.
Most recently, brutally frank have finished working on recording their debut album " The Finer Details" with Andrew Buckton of Studio 203.
Singles "Everything I cant Have" and "Hope is an Opiate" already enjoy radio play on Kiwi FM and The Rock. "Hope is an Opiate" was featured on the Rocks Off the Record through NZ On Air.
brutally frank have also been the lucky recipients of "The Rock Scholarship" courtesy of NZ On Air and The Rock, scoring $5K worth of advertising for the album, high rotate of the single and some free gear from the Rock Shop, thanks guys!
Watch out for the video for "The Finer Details" which is completed and enjoying a sound thrashing on the usual music channels.
