The Hamma

The Hamma is an iconic heavy rock band from Napier, New Zealand. Formed in 1984 by Pete (Vocals,guitar), Kev (drums), Hugh(Bass) and Shiel (guitar). They played many gigs at the legendary Cabana in Napier, before tragedy struck and Shiel was killed in a motorcycle accident.

They reformed in 2010 with a comeback gig at their old stomping ground the Cabana.

In 2011 they added another guitarist: Coxy, and plan to release a second album soon. Watch this space!
