Behind The Name:
The band name "Litvak Attack" draws it's strength from "Lily Litvak", the Soviet female fighter ace of World War Two.
Litvak was one of the worlds only two female fighter aces, and with 12 confirmed kills, she is the highest scoring in history.
Some sources document her painting white lilys on each side of her
fighter plane. She was so fond of flowers that she would also pick and
carry them on her missions.
The white flowers painted on her fuselarge became famous among the
Germans. They knew better than to try to dogfight the familiar Yak-1
aircraft, and usually tried to make good their escape before Litvak got
too close.
Lily Litvak was killed during combat on August 1st 1943 at the age of 21, her body was not discovered until 1979.
