21 yr old singer/songwriter Megan Sidwell, has restarted her solo project after being committed to a now defunct Tauranga band, "All Due Respect", for the past 3 years.
Megan's solo project style is based around the acoustic guitar with a rock and pop feel interchanging throughout her songs. With influences drawn from the Foo Fighters, Paramore and solo artists such as John Mayer, Brooke Fraser and Taylor Swift, Megan's style has an interesting twist which leads to a good variety of songs within her set.
She won the female musicianship award at the smokefree rockquest both in 2007 and 2008 and is currently studying a bachelor of music at the auckland university. She is entering into the studio next month to begin recording for her debut solo album.
