Reality Compound

About Reality Compound from Auckland

"We're all about the music. And our music is shit. Explains quite a lot really."

It's um . . . .

REALITY! at the COMPOUND!!!

Were sort of making a TV show about this band that sucks, it was about these real pretentious wankers in this band and they're pretty much losers, but they pretend to be cool - like on the internet and stuff. It's kind of like a comedy with like shock factor, and a message. yeah.

But yeah, don't buy our CD or our T shirt or txt in your vote for us to play on the fucking local stage. Not just because we suck and we're pretty much about to split up . . . but um - just add us on myspace, because . . . it'll be funny. Trust me. It will . . .

Reality Compound is a new multimedia project based on the story of a useless band trying to make it on the scene, and the dramas and interactions have built a following of thousands who follow their irreverent and tongue in cheek online blogs and posts avidly on sites such as myspace.com. Here's a slice of what to expect:

"Under the pretense of a band or group, Reality Compound "research staff" have bound together with a steely will to foist their brand of hapless post-intellectual frolics into the bemused gaze of contemporary connoisseurs of avant garde electrotrash with a taste of mutated commercial synth pop, regurgitating molested platitudes from European style rags to describe themselves as "a celebration of artificiality" and "a coincidence of disposable reality."

Consisting of a frenetic cross hatching of unhindered retrospective sub cultural electronic information, Their performance sets to the stage as those S.O.S. launch into a non stop all singing, all dancing, fully costumed DJ/live performance."

Reality Compound has nothing less than startled audiences with wild, frantic performances of rocking electro pop across New Zealand, with several releases on the data:bass label.
