MAINZ graduate and current attendee of CPIT Jazz School, Alexander Harmer, has spent the first 7 months of 2011 writing, performing and recording his debut EP - entitled "Skies" - at his home studio in Christchurch.

Inspired by the catchy pop of the Beatles, the grandiose arrangements of Queen and the alternate rock of Muse, the EP showcases big-sounding and highly-produced songs not often heard coming out of small project studios.

Harmer is putting together a band for some summer shows in 2011/2012, so stayed tuned to check out the songs being performed live later this year.
