'koile

About 'koile from Dunedin

Deriv. from puākoile (n) tokelau lang. an early stage of coconut, after the flower has fallen and before the milk is formed inside … coconut seedling!

‘KOILE’s Pasifika reggae is a potent cross-cultural mix of migration to Aotearoa anchored in the deep south of Dunedin and Otago.

The ancestral mix within this band has a strong umbilical influence on the sound that they create and is evident in the response to their performance of unwavering Pasifika roots with diverse facets of genres.
