Three-piece psychedelic rock band, Fornax Chemica are embarking on a
nation wide tour to launch their heralding debut album release
‘Chemical Furnace’.
Chemical Furnace was recorded in mid 2009 at RadioStar Studios
in California and produced by the renowned, Sylvia Massy, (Tool. Red
Hot Chilli Peppers, Johnny Cash). Chemical Furnace was mastered at
Golden Mastering by John Golden (Primus, Sonic Youth, The Melvins). The
album will be released May 2010 through Universal Records and will be
available at Real Groovy, Jb-Hifi and other leading outlets.
The ‘Chemical Furnace’ tour will play all of New Zealand’s
major centre’s; Auckland (Kings Arms, 4th June), Dunedin (Refuel, 5th
June), Wellington (SFBH, 12th June) and Christchurch (Al’s Bar, 18th
June).
The tour is accompanied by visual production of unparalleled quality.
Each set features an eclectic combination of 3D visual projections,
body painted contortionists and laser shows.
Fornax Chemica have shared stages with Mehsuggah, Cult of
Luna, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Kerretta, Black Boned
Angel and This City Sunrise.
Fornax Chemica has created waves with their animated 3D music
video for the single ‘Seismic Charge’. The clip is a journey that
explores science fiction concepts of deep space and the universe.
