Richard Leschen & Crawfish Mambo - Origins of a World Folk Funk Band
After Leschens second album Black Horses was released, a friend suggested that Leschen go back to a band forum. And ya know, IT AIN'T such a bad idea! So with a mouth full of solid lyric writing beyond mediocrity (or mediacrity), Leschen met up, accidentally, with Craig Denham a stellar pianist and accordian player (Mamaku Project, Club Manouche, Scandelli Brothers) who suggested that his new band Crawfish Mambo join forces for something new, fresh and unheard by primate ears - and these guys really rock! So RICHARD LESCHEN and CRAWFISH MAMBO are: Rich Leschen (vocal, guitar, lyrics), Craig Denham (keys of all sorts, whistles, back vocal), Peter Scott (ex Jews Brothers Band, Bravura; bass, back vocal) and Chris Koole (ex Scandalli Bros & The Warners; percussionista, back vocal). It's a sort of world folk dance band as if the Blackseeds discovered bluegrass played by Senegalese.
