Is there anybody out there Tell me about hex, please!

Hi, I'm Kira j, a musician based in the uk. In 1999 I spent a couple of months travellin nz. Didn't make it to Dunedin and only really "discovered" kiwi music when i returned to the uk.On my return to sheffield england, I hooked up with the kiwi musician micheal canning. I was blown away by the stuff that michael played me, especially the music of michael j hex. I was very privileged to have been present at the early stages of michael mixing tracks for the CANHEX project(michael j hex and michael j canning hadn't actually met at this point but were posting each other analogue tapes and in this manner created one of the most amazing albums i have ever heard)
It was micahel canning who inspired me to go to nz in the first place (for which I am eternally grateful!!!!) but it is also through him that I discovered the music of Mike Brasell (aka Michael j hex)
Life is weird and has taken me in some strange directions but the music of michael j hex has been a constant in my life. An inspiation. Yet I know nothing about the man himself. I spoke to him once or twice on the phone, We e-mailed occasionaslly. I sent him some tapes of stuff I was working on. THen we lost touch. I was gutted to hear of his death - I#d always thought that one day i would make it back to nz and jam, maybe record with him.
I am currently writing my own biography and have come to realise that although i never met him, the music of michael j hex has been profoundly influential upon my life and I am suddenly curious about the man behind the music. If you ever met MIcahel or can tell me about him, I would be profoundly grateful if you would be willing to share your memories.
