BIG DAY OUT 2011: UPDATE

OK- the announcement is in 2 weeks, have a look at this:

NOT PLAYING:
Blink 182- Travis won't fly, there won't be a tour at this stage either (according to Soundwave website)
Linkin Park- December Australia/NZ tour
Faithless- headlining Good Vibrations
Muse- played 2010
Weezer- declined Soundwave to do their own tour in March
the Offspring- declined Soundwave to do their own tour in the second half of 2011
Radiohead- planning their own world tour for 2011, promoters are trying to get them here as soon as they can.
Queens of the Stone Age- playing Soundwave
Paul McCartney- not his sort of thing
Gorillaz- doing their own headline tour in December
Blur- Damon is touring with Gorillaz

IFFY:
Lady Gaga- she is hotly rumored to play, she could be to big
Tool- unlikely as they have headlined the festival in the last 3/4 years, if they don't play they will do a headlining tour
Eminem- unlikely as he is reportedly "banned" from Australia, however his managers were apparently at the last 2 BDO's, asking questions about the festival
Yellowcard- they put on their myspace that they "want" to play, and asked fans to spam the BDO facebook and myspace e.t.c. to get them on the bill, this could be counter productive
