MYSTERY CHRISTCHURCH BENEFIT GIG MENTIONED ON HAURAKI!!!!!!
At about 1:30pm on Tuesday 5th of April the presenter on Hauraki said a New Zealand gig promoter saw the benefit gig that was set for ASB Showgrounds last week fail and reckoned he could do a better job. All this is un-confirmed but the interesting part about this is the guy on the radio said "Something similar to the foo fighters show but with more bands in a bigger venue, so far he's been talking to a couple of his mates about them and their bands performing for Christchurch and both seemed very keen". The "mates" he refers to he reveals are Josh Homme and Eddie Vedder.
I'm picturing:
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden (who are meant to be touring here anyway and have a connection with Pearl Jam)
Queens of the Stone Age
Cairo Knife Fight (common touring partners with Josh Homme and this style of band)
Who else do you think would be at this gig if it happened?
