Singer/Musician Wanted in Wellington
Hello kind people.
We're looking for a female singer to fulfill the crucial girl part of girl/boy vocals in an indie/folk/pop band.
Someone who sings well and preferably plays another instrument as well. We're pretty open about what. Keyboard/glockenspiel is always good. Guitar is not really needed.
Someone who is not a huge fan of the current Key-led administration would be great.
It's a 4-5 peice band. Drums, guitar, bass, trumpet (sometimes) and everyone sings.
Influences: Mountain goats, Joanna Newsom, Sufjan Stevens, Syd Barret, Jeff Mills, Jeffrey Lewis, Phoenix Foundation etc...
The band is established with regular radioplay. Been around for 10 years. Just completed second European tour and plan to tour Australia in March/April 2012 and Europe/Japan/US in September 2012.
We mix glory, joy and politics.
