2005

Current line up?
Kirax: Vocals, Synth, FX Knoppix: FX, Synth, Vocals

Where are you based?
Knop: Originally from Augsburg, Germany, we moved to Auckland in April 2007 and planned to stay here for a couple of years.

Musical history? What were you listening to back in high school?
Knop: There has always been music. First I recorded the friday Top 10 on a radio station onto tape. My first record was a Bruce Springsteen one. Forgot the name...the one where he leans on a car and looks cool. But basically I was into Hip Hop for a long time until I turned over to Punk, HC and Screamo. Kirax: I was listening to any sort of Rock, also Soul. I can sing along with all the big hits.

What are you currently listening to?
Knop: World music, exploring the past, Kraut, Psych, Jazz, Wave. Current music doesn´t excite me. Not many bands out there which shake me.
Kirax: Right in a way! I don´t even have time to listen to music.

The state of music in NZ is..?
Knop: Fun! Kirax: Powerful!

What’s your favorite place to play?
Knop: On the floor in a small packed venue or private.

What was your favorite show?
Knop: Curiosity Show on TV in the 80s! Kirax: Ha!

What is your recording process?
Knop: Record on + go! What's been your best recording experience? Knop: There was no best I think.

What’s been your worst recording experience?
Knop: There was no worst either.

Favorite radio show/station?
Knop: You can never go wrong with Solid Gold, and BFM has some good shows on. But if radio then dublab.com, which is an LA based internet radio station - just tune in! Kirax: Dublab, right!

The Future holds…?
Knop: More theatre, more experiments, more sun, more jobs! Kirax: Less work, more fun!
