Little Pictures Album Launch

Little Pictures Album Launch

Tuesday, 16th September 2008 7:39AM

That’s right - due to the appalling lack of small venues in Auckland, the electropop duo Little Pictures will be playing on a moving bus (with a BYO liquor license of course!) in Auckland this Friday night September 19th.

Little Pictures are from Wellington and consist of Johanna (pronounced 'Yo-hun-a' - she's Dutch) Freeman and Mark Turner, both just 20 years of age.

Their debut album, ‘OWL + OWL’ was released to a flurry of excitement on the globe’s top indie websites - They have appeared in top music blog Hype Machines top 20, and like... number 24# on Elbows , along with Radiohead and Bob Dylan!!! "This House Can Fit Us All" is the first single from the debut album "Owl+Owl", and the single and music video have been spun like a cat in a clothes-dryer...

Johanna and Mark started working together mid-2007 and quickly managed to write and record a debut album of ridiculously catchy and danceable pop songs, which was snapped up by tastemaker stalwarts; Lil' Chief Records (run by Jonathan Bree of the Brunettes and Scott Mannion of the Tokey Tones).

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH - 10PM

Saw these guys at Bodega a couple of months ago. They really were lovely. If you have the chance to go to this, by all means do so.
