With a history stretching back to 1986 during their days as Corpse, this act from the medievally-steeped island of Gotland in Sweden's frozen southern reaches perform straight up, no bullsh*t old school death metal. Their 1991 debut Into The Grave has become a classic extreme metal masterpiece; showcasing the crushing walls of relentless guitar and rolling tank-like rhythms that have become signatures of the band's sound throughout their two decade plus career.

And in December, these veterans from the bleak north march onto New Zealand soil for the first time, touring in support of their latest offering of militant sonic terror Dominion VIII; an album that demonstrates the finely honed talents of a veteran band at the peak of their powers. With local support from Auckland nuclear death masters Diocletian and Wellington's Execrate, Wednesday December 10th promises to be a night of pure metal holocaust not to be missed by metal followers of all walks.
