Cheese On Toast Singles Club

Wednesday 6th May, 2009 12:00PM

Don't worry, Cheese on Toast is not venturing into Online Dating, way better, in association with The Bacco Room they are releasing strictly limited edition 7"singles with a different act on each side. Once a month these acts will perform at The Bacco Room where you can pick up your 7" and watch the bands play.

The first 7" features singles from Tourettes and The Drab Doo Riffs, these two will perform on the 30th May at The Bacco Room.

Andrew Tidball is very excited to announce that the first release from CHEESE ON TOAST SINGLES CLUB will be:

TOURETTES - I Think Miss You
THE DRAB DOO RIFFS - I Wanna Be Spock / Motorscoot Scoot
released May 30th at Bacco Room (underneath Monte Christo Room 51-53 Nelson Street)

Tourettes is a poet and hip-hop performer that is striking a chord across genres and scenes in Auckland right now. Recently, he released his album Who Said You Can't Dance To Misery to much critical acclaim. The track, I Think I Miss You, written to and about his exgirlfriend was not included on the original pressing of the album - originally released as a bonus track for those who pre-ordered the album from iTunes - this will be the first place anyone can own thesong in a physical format.

The Drab Doo Riffs are relatively new to the local Auckland indie scene - but the frontman is no stranger to the lime-light; Karl Stevens from Supergroove has assembled a stellar group of talented and experienced musicians around him to form this new and exciting band. Loosely described as sci-fi-surf-soul-punk - the sound is as infectious as it's unique.
