Win A Slot At The Big Day Out 2010

Wednesday, 30th September 2009 12:00PM

And the search is on again for a sprightly new band to open the Big Day Out in 2010. You can enter through your local BNet stations and extra special for those of you who don't have one of those, the Groove Guide will now be taking your applications - details to follow.

Press Release:

Commence the annual nationwide search to find the band or artist that will be the first to anoint the ears of four guys down from Dargaville for the day, to play the opening slot of Big Day Out 2010, Friday 15 January at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.

Last year you entered through your local BNet station, but it turns out not everyone in New Zealand has one of those, so this year for all areas outside Auckland, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, Dunedin and Christchurch, The Groove Guide will be taking submissions.

Submit your bandís bio, website URL and song/s in MP3 form to bigdayout@grooveguide.co.nz or post to:

BDO Competition
C/o The Groove Guide
PO Box 78070, Grey Lynn
Auckland 1245

If you come from one of the afore mentioned cities, be sure to tune in to your local BNet station for details on how to enter: 95bFM in Auckland, The Most FM 100.2 in New Plymouth, Radio Control 99.4FM in Palmerston North, Radio Active 89FM in Wellington, Radio One 91FM in Dunedin and RDU 98.5FM in Christchurch.

Competition ends Tuesday 24 November, with the finalist announced in the Wednesday 2 December issue of The Groove Guide and online at RealGroove.co.nz. Our finalist will join the other regional finalists hand-picked by BNet stations all around New Zealand, and the winner will be announced mid-December by the Big Day Out organisers. All finalists will win tickets to Big Day Out 2010.
