Storm Thorgerson To Speak At Semi-Permanent 2010 - Win A Pass

Storm Thorgerson To Speak At Semi-Permanent 2010 - Win A Pass

Thursday 5th August, 2010 2:40PM

You may not recognise his name but you will definitely recognise Storm Thorgerson's work - he has designed the record covers for some of rocks biggest acts and albums including Led Zepplin's album Houses of The Holy (pictured), several Pink Floyd album covers (including the awesome burning man one for Wish You Were Here), Mars Volta, Peter Gabriel, Ween, 10Ccc and more

He's also made a number of music videos (some awesome super 80s examples below) and you have the rare opportunity of hearing this man's wise words at Semi-Perminent 2010 happening in Auckland later this month.  Even better, we have a pass to give away to the whole event (worth $290!) and all you have to do to get in the draw is log in and enter below. The pass also gets you into the tiger translate after party.

Semi-Permanent is an annual event that celebrates all things design - graphics, fashion, animation, illustration, motion graphics, typography, sound design, live audio-visual art, interactive and experiential marketing, fine art, music, product design and more. Another speaker of musical interest will be sound designer Duncan Speakman.

For full programme details and information on all the speakers head to www.semipermanent.co.nz.
