The second announcement has never been about adding big international bands, they already have the headliners. What were you expecting?

Kody & Bic is an awesome addition, have fun sitting at home complaining losers.

@ superunknown. Where were you in 2008 when Arcade Fire played BDO and were "cutting edge NOW" !? They're not exactly "now" anymore, or cutting edge for that matter.
Agree with Timz0r...M.I.A is amazing and has never been to BDO...and all of the NZ announcements are very now. Go the local produce!!

@superunknown There are heaps of cutting edge bands of the now on there. LCD Soundsystem, Black Keys, Die Antwoord, Crystal Castles, M.I.A. ect ect

Dont know what youre complaining about, its been the most now lineup for a long time. Also check out Laneway if you want an even more nowish lineup.

@ Emma

WTF are you talking about - the BDO has attracted 90's bands of yesteryear - Where are the cutting edge bands of NOW? Arcade Fire etc etc.

The BDO was founded on attracted cutting edge bands of the time not helping to pay for the retirement of bands like Primal Scream, TOOL, Deftones.

A few decent extra kiwi bands to see, but hardly worth splitting it into two announcements. The BDO press release has a not so subtle theme of ‘managing expectations’ all through it...

What are you all talking about? The fist announcement was epic enough for us to accomodate a healthy load of New Zealand talent.

I've heard it's going to be announced at midday Australian time. So depending on which timezone, it'll either be 2pm or 3pm here.
