Well we're not sure exactly when the Big Day Out 2011 second announcement is being made today but this morning 95bFM revealed a bunch of local acts including....
The Phoenix Foundation, Family Cactus, 1995, Tommy Ill, The Unfaithful Ways, Knives at Noon, Kody Neilson and Bic Runga, Surf City, Grayson Gilmour, Meltron, Ghost, Homebrew, Computers Want Me Dead and more.
And in an interview on Matt Heath's breakfast show, Campbell Smith also let slip a couple of international acts including The Greenhornes and Sia.
There are definitely acts announced that we missed so come back and check for the full announcement when it finally gets released later today.

Agree with Timz0r...M.I.A is amazing and has never been to BDO...and all of the NZ announcements are very now. Go the local produce!!
Dont know what youre complaining about, its been the most now lineup for a long time. Also check out Laneway if you want an even more nowish lineup.
WTF are you talking about - the BDO has attracted 90's bands of yesteryear - Where are the cutting edge bands of NOW? Arcade Fire etc etc.
The BDO was founded on attracted cutting edge bands of the time not helping to pay for the retirement of bands like Primal Scream, TOOL, Deftones.
