Girl Talk Gets Own Public Holiday

Pioneering mash-up master Girl Talk aka Greg Gillis has been honoured like rock royalty in his home town of Pittsburgh where they have celebrated his musical achievements with a public holiday in his name.  This week the council passed a resolution for a holiday known as "Greg Gillis Day" on December 7th -  “Gregg has become an international sensation selling out performances around the world. I am honored to recognize all of the accomplishments of one of our native sons” says councilman Bill Peduto who sponsored the resolution.
