Greenhornes To Play Bodega

Greenhornes To Play Bodega

Wednesday 19th January, 2011 12:39PM

The Greenhornes, who were supposed to open for The Black Keys at the Opera House in Wellington this Thursday 20th February, are now headlining their own show, at Bodega. To be honest, these guys will totally suit a smaller venue and Bodega goes off when it sells out, so hopefully it's a pleasant consolation to those of you who were bummed by The Black Keys cancellation. Press release to follow.

Cincinnati's finest The Greenhornes were scheduled to open for The Black Keys at The Opera House in Wellington this Thursday. They will now be appearing in Wellington at Bodega on Thursday 20th January.

Tickets available at the show on the night for $25.

Their latest release ‘****’ on Jack White's Third Man Records is a stunning collection of Greenhornes songs.
In the last five years Greenhornes members have become wingmen for Jack White’s Nashville ‘mafia’ in the Raconteurs, Dead Weather, Loretta Lynn and Wanda Jackson bands. This will be their first Wellington performance. The Greenhornes will also appear at Big Day Out in Auckland this Friday 21st January on the Essential Stage at 12.30pm.
