New Release: Esben and The Witch - Violet Cries

With all the live music that summer brings we've hardly had a chance to peruse the growing pile of albums coming in for review as the year kicks into gear. One release we're particularly interested in is the debut album from Brighton trio Esben and The Witch, Violet Cries, released on Monday (31st January) via Matador.
Taking their name from a Danish fairytale, Esben and The Witch create beautifully dark, lush, psychedelic soundscapes of which latest single and video "Warpath" is a great example - check it out.
