Arcade Fire Win Album of the Year at The Grammys
Tuesday, 15th February 2011 8:20AMArcade Fire's latest album The Suburbs won Album of the Year at the Grammys last night.
The only independent record to be nominated in the category, the band beat the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Eminem to take home the gong.
Other category winners of note include The Black Keys (no, they did not miss this event because of exhaustion) winning Best Alternative Album (for Brothers), Best Performance by a Rock Duo or Group (for 'Tighten Up') and Best Recording Package, The White Stripes taking home the best Boxed Set or Collectors Edition Package and Danger Mouse winning Producer of the Year.
Flight of the Conchords were up for Best Comedy Album but lost out to Lewis Black.
