Friday Flashback: Buddy Holly - Oh Boy!

Buddy Holly was celebrated earlier this year with a tribute album called Rave On Buddy Holly featuring covers by an all-star cast of musicians including Paul McCartney, Lou Reed, The Black Keys, Fiona Apple, Julian Casablancas, Cee Lo Green, Florence and the Machine and many more - click here for the full list .
The 50s rock and roll icon would have been 75 this past Wednesday 7th September which inspired us to dig up some live footage of him. This was one of the better videos we found, it's Buddy Holly performing "Oh Boy!" with The Crickets on The Ed Sullivan show in 1958:
