Interview: Jen Long (BBC Radio 1), Going Global Music Summit
Tuesday 13th September, 2011 3:27PM
Going Global Music Summit is a showcase event with keynote speakers that intends to give bands an insight into what is required to make an impact in overseas markets. There are some exceptional delegates including Paul Hanley (Frenchkiss Records), Natalie Judge (Matador Records) and Jen Long (producer and broadcaster, BBC Radio 1). Auckland's conference was yesterday, but Going Global takes place in Wellington tomorrow. UTR caught up with Jen Long from BBC Radio 1 to find out how she discovers new music, and how to get her attention and ultimately airplay in England.
