John Peel's Record Collection To Be Made Public

John Peel's Record Collection To Be Made Public

Monday 27th February, 2012 11:29AM

The late John Peel's much revered music collection, including 25,000 LPs, 40,000 singles and many thousands of CDs, is going to be made public via a 'digital museum' dedicated to the music great. As Tom Barker (Eye Film and Television, Creative Director) explains, the hope is to 'recreate John’s home studio and record collection, which users will be able to interact with and contribute to, whilst viewing Peel’s personal notes, archive performances and new filmed interviews with musicians'.

The museum will be available to view from May till October via The Space, a new digital join venture between the Arts Council and BBC.
