The Exploited Cancel Auckland Show

Scottish punks The Exploited have been forced to cancel their upcoming Auckland show and their Australian dates due to a family emergency. Here's the word from the promoter including a statement from the band...

*** THE EXPLOITED - AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND TOUR CANCELLED ***

Unfortunately The Exploited tour in Australia and New Zealand has been cancelled due to a very serious family situation involving bass player Irish Rob. Rob has travelled back to Ireland today to stay with his family for the next few weeks and therefore the tour, including the scheduled Auckland show on Sunday April 29th at The Kings Arms, has been cancelled in its entirety. The band have issued the following statement:

"I'm really sorry to have to say this but I'm afraid we'll have to cancel. Apart from feeling sorry for Rob, we're all totally gutted as we were really looking forward to this, but it is out of our control. I don't really know what else to say except for I'm sorry to have to be saying this in every aspect. We'd just like to apologise to the promoter and everyone involved in these gigs and especially all of the people who were coming to see us. There’s no one more disappointed than us!!!  So hopefully in the future we can get a chance to come back and play to the people of Australia and New Zealand. " - Wattie / The Exploited

Soundworks Touring, RW Entertainment and The Exploited's management are currently in discussions to reschedule the tour for the second half of this year. An announcement of the new dates will happen as soon as the information is at hand. We would also like to advise that all pre sale ticket holders can receive a refund from the point of purchase, and that anyone who has already bought a ticket for the cancelled show will not be charged a booking fee for the Auckland show when it is eventually rescheduled and announced.

We apologise to all ticket-holders for the inconvenience this has caused and hope that all The Exploited's Kiwi fans will join us in extending their thoughts to Rob while his family work through this most difficult of times.

Tickets purchased online via UTR will be refunded back to the credit card used to purchase them - this process will be completed by May1st.
