Return Of Childrens Hour

Return Of Childrens Hour

First Straitjacket Fits announced a reunion tour, then Flying dusted off the old Toy Love album for a reissue. Now NZ music aficionados, add another little nugget of nostalgia to your collection. A retrospective CD and one-off reunion concert (in Christchurch, worse luck) by Children's Hour.
If you're not quite sure who they are/were, they were dark rock 'undergrounders' in mid '80s. The tragic suicide of bass player Johnny Pierce saw the band re-emerge as the Headless Chickens.
Twenty-one years on, the band are reforming to pay tribute to their lost friend and support the release of a new collection of their works culled from live recordings, including previously unreleased material.
One gig only, at the ridiculous price of $5, at the Dux de Lux on Thursday, April 28

Facts here are not quite right. Children's Hour emerged as Headless Chickens long before bass player Johnny Pierce died (1986)He was the original bass player of Headless Chickens. His music ( re mixed )was also included on the Stunt Clown album.
